Neberia

Neberia is an ancient and mysterious entity of Isteria, known as the Keeper of the Living Roots.

She does not command the great tree of Isteria.

The tree obeys her.

Every root recognizes her presence. Forests bend toward her footsteps, ancient branches open at her command, and even the oldest roots beneath Isteria awaken when she calls.

The gods once tried to control the World Tree.

It refused them.

But when Neberia speaks, the entire tree moves.

The secret is that Neberia was not chosen by the tree.

She is part of its original existence.

Some forbidden texts claim that when Isteria first planted the World Tree, Neberia was already waiting beneath its roots—sleeping, watching, and waiting for the day the tree would need her.

No one knows what Neberia truly is.

Not goddess.

Not dragon.

Not mortal.

And when the tree finally rises to protect Neberia from the gods, the ancient branches reveal something buried beneath the roots:

The tree has never belonged to Isteria.

It belongs to Neberia.
